EXPRESSIONS IN COILED ROPE BASKETRY (FULL)
Welcome to the creative world of sewing rope into baskets, bowls, coasters, and bags! Master the basic steps for stitching round rope projects, develop techniques for shaping and sizing, and practice adding color and embellishments based on individual style. Expect to complete up to four projects over the weekend.
Mid Carolina Run Shop Hop
We’re so excited to be participating in the Mid Carolina Run Shop Hop again this year! It’s a week long event with shops throughout the region with special deals for our quilty friends!
Purchase your passport at any of the participating shops and receive a free Villa Rosa pattern for that shop's quilt.
Gather your friends and take your passports with you to be stamped at each shop you visit. You will receive a free fat quarter from each shop.

Intro to coiled basketry (full)
Learn to make a coiled rope basket! Katherine Lile, owner of The Mountain Thread Company in Blowing Rock, is leading this fun workshop! Students will utilize sewing machines (provided) to create their baskets.
Quiltcon 2024
QuiltCon is the largest modern quilting event in the world, hosted by the Modern Quilt Guild. With attendees coming from around the globe, QuiltCon features a vibrant quilt show full of competition quilts, community outreach quilts, and special exhibits as well as an enticing vendor hall, with all booths curated with the modern quilter in mind. QuiltCon also features lectures and workshops, available for registration with a four-day show pass.
